The Job. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, delivering exceptional customer service, and growing revenue within existing accounts. You’ll act as the primary client advocate for Toolhouse project teams to ensure a client’s business needs are consistently met, and you’ll serve as a day-to-day strategic advisor to clients.

Your projects will typically take the form of major websites, CRM-driven campaign work, strategic consulting, technology implementations, digital marketing processes, and change management. Clients will also occasionally look to you to review their digital marketing analytics in order to analyze campaign effectiveness and offer other relevant insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the client’s business, products, competitors and market landscape, and act as the primary client advocate to support project teams
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships at all levels in the client's organization to facilitate long-term profitable growth
  • Deliver exceptional client service and maintain high levels of client satisfaction
  • Participate in shaping digital marketing strategies and tactics that will be presented to the client for consideration
  • Provide ongoing strategic and tactical advice to clients on various digital marketing and technology initiatives and continue to highlight Toolhouse’s value in the digital marketing space
  • Work with project managers to manage complex digital projects from both a strategic and business relationship perspective
  • Liaise with Toolhouse staff as a part of everyday project activities to assure Toolhouse is consistently meeting client objectives
  • Assist clients with needs definition and the creation of various presentations and documentation
  • Develop comprehensive statements of work and project briefs and ensure all legal documentation is accurate and in place for each phase of a project
  • Conduct ongoing account planning within an assigned client to ensure all opportunities and challenges are understood and solutions identified, and that the account is being developed in a strategic and successful manner
  • Keep up with technology trends such as web, mobile, CRM, social, analytics, and enterprise technologies, and participate in regular knowledge exchanges with peers

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years experience in a client-facing role at a digital marketing agency, or within a digital marketing role on the client/brand side
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing, enterprise marketing technologies, internet technologies, search, and mobile best practices
  • Demonstrable experience in relationship management or account management with close involvement in delivery of work and growing service offerings within an account. Experience navigating large complex organizations is a plus.
  • 4-year degree, preferably with a specialty in Marketing
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently (1-2 times per month)
  • Ability to put together professional-looking documents and presentations
  • Strong presentation/public speaking skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and the ability to carefully manage details while juggling multiple projects all at once
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of personalities, and build productive working relationships with teammates
  • Strong ability to work independently, set priorities, and proactively drive progress in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to focus and work under pressure during tight deadlines with humor, tact and professionalism
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical marketing, or technology marketing a plus
